Our Story
Rooted in the Gospel. Planted in Milwaukee.
Since 1962, Cornerstone has been a home for people from every walk of life — a Baptist church holding fast to an old, unchanging hope in a city we love.
Our Mission
To help everyday people become wholehearted followers of Jesus — loving God, loving each other, and loving our city with the same grace we’ve been given.
Who We Are
A church family, not a Sunday event.
We believe the church is people, not a building — a family adopted by God and sent to live differently together. That shows up in shared meals, midweek prayer, and neighbors becoming friends.
We’re historically Baptist, gladly diverse, and united by one conviction: Jesus changes everything.

What We Believe
Simple, historic, unshakable convictions.
01
The Gospel
We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone — never by our own effort.
02
The Scriptures
The Bible is God’s inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word for all of life and faith.
03
The Church
God’s people are a family, sent together to make disciples across Milwaukee and the world.
04
Baptism
We practice believer’s baptism — a joyful, public declaration of new life found in Christ.
Our Journey
Six decades of faithfulness.
1962
A handful of families plant Cornerstone in a rented storefront on Center Street.
1988
The congregation moves into our current home and opens its doors to the neighborhood.
2005
Sherman Park outreach begins — food pantry, tutoring, and summer camps launch.
2019
A new generation of leaders steps up; small groups multiply across the city.
Today
One church, many neighbors, still holding fast to the same old, good news.
Our Team
Pastors and leaders who’d love to know you.
