Every Thursday at 4 PM, a line forms outside the fellowship hall, and by 6 it’s gone — sixty-some families, fed and known by name. The food is the easy part. The Thursday crew is the miracle.
Right now the crew is eight people and it should be twelve. The jobs are simple: stocking shelves, carrying boxes to cars, and the most important one — remembering that Ms. Alberts likes to be asked about her grandson before anyone hands her a bag.
